One project down...

And one really tedious project to go. This is a project I have had every summer and one that rarely holds my attention for more than an hour. My parents are coming next Saturday to visit for a week, and this project is due a week after they leave. Must focus!

I have to say, not having FB does help, but I still need to grow an attention span. And if you're reading this and have a blog, you should update a lot between now and mid-July so I have an enjoyable means for distraction. ;-) Just sayin'.

I'm strongly considering getting rid of my facebook account myself. Are you happy that you did?

Hey Laura! How's Japan treating you all? I really love seeing your pictures.

I am glad I deleted FB for now just because I was too OCD about checking it. But I am still wanting to start another account again, maybe next week when my work's done, just with new boundaries. I want to not post as much, not accept random friends like people from high school, and definitely not check it as often. If I can't manage that, though, I'll probably get rid of it again. I do value FB for being able to keep in touch with military friends especially. It's so helpful to be able to send a note at any time without an email address. And to see major updates. I've been having Justin check for me on Shannon's status, for example. And of course I'll want to see pictures!

I'm doing great! Ryan will be leaving on a TDY soon then a deployment soon afterwards. But other than that things are good. I miss home but I'm grateful for this opportunity.
I completely understand about keeping in touch with military friends. I'm hoping that maybe it will force me to pick up the phone (or in our case skype) instead of just facebook message back and forth. We'll see how it goes, I'll be deleting it soon! Its going to so weird not having it anymore!
